Carmen D'Arminio is a World War II Army Veteran and he served in the African, Sicily, and D-Day campaigns. Carmen entered the Army in 1941 just before the Pearl Harbor attack. Carmen was also a part of the "First Army Tank Division" which was the first armored division of the U.S Army to see battle in World War II.

Carmen has four brothers. Two brothers, Louis "Lee" and Angelo, also fought in
World War II. Carmen is the oldest of the five brothers. During the battle of the
Hurtgen Forrest, Carmen, a staff sergeant at the time in a Tank Destroyer, met his brother Lee, a moment in time neither will ever forget.

Carmen D'Arminio went to Hackensack High School up until the tenth grade. He received his GED while in the Army.
